Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop - new catalog inspiration

Today we are so excited to share with you some NEW CATALOG INSPIRATION as we hop along with the Stylin' Stampin' Squad. Now it is a little bittersweet today as this is our last hop together as a "squad". Some blog hop designers we are saying goodbye to, but there are others who are planning to join us on our design team blog at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration where we will continue to hop monthly as a group with our new design team! Yippee!!

As you hop along, please be sure to comment and show some love on every blog! We are always excited to hear from our followers! You should have just left stop number #9 - Rose of Stampin' with Rose. If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn't work or you get off track, you will find the full blog hop lineup below.

The new catalog has been out for almost 1-1/2 weeks now, so I am sure many of you have already had time to look through it (maybe more than once...or even more than twice!) We thought it would be fun for us to highlight some of the new products so that you can decide what you want to put on your wish list! Today I am using the Sea Street stamp set and Maritime Designer Series Paper to show you a simple card and gift card holder. This set is great for kid birthdays ~ especially in the summer! And the DSP coordinates perfectly with the fun images!

{SEA STREET}
Clear Mount - #133988 / $16.95
Wood Mount - #133985 / $22.95

 {MARITIME DESIGNER SERIES PAPER}
#133696 / $10.95

 This card is super simple, but is perfect for a little "hello" or "happy birthday"! I just love how the background DSP makes a fun statement behind the layers of circles with the octopus.
Stamp Sets
Sea Street
Ink
Night of Navy
Paper
Real Red, Night of Navy, Coastal Cabana, Whisper White, Maritime DSP
Accessories
SNAIL Adhesive, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Coastal Cabana Thick Baker's Twine
 Tools
Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Circle Framelits

This next project is a fun one! It uses so many pieces of the Maritime DSP! I used the tutorial for this gift card holder from Heather Van Looy at Handcrafting with Heather.

Here is the gift card holder when it's wrapped up in its belly band.

Slip off the belly band and open up the first flap. I added some of the fun paper to both of the inside flaps.

 Then open it up one more time and it reveals a place for you to write a little message and a spot to put the gift card on the right. (Bet you'll never guess where that gift card is to!)

I will be using this gift card holder design A LOT this summer as we have many birthdays lined up. In fact, this particular one here will be used for a birthday on Friday. My son will be bringing it to his friend's birthday party with a $10 gift card in it...and attached to a water soaker! :)

Thank you so much for joining us for our March Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop! Temperatures are on the rise and there is just one short week until the official first day of Spring! We are all so ready to put away our snowflakes and break out the flowers in our craft rooms! Stampin' Up! has so many options for Spring-time flowers and we are showing you just a few of those today!
As you hop along, please be sure to comment and show some love on every blog. We are always excited to hear from our followers. Hello Springtime! It's finally that season again and all of the flowers will soon be blooming. The daffodils have already begun to bloom and they are beautiful. The two cards I created today are bright, cheery, and super simple to re-create! I love this "hello" sentiment for so many reasons, but mostly because it makes this card one that you can send to someone simply to brighten their day by saying HELLO.

Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop - bundle up!

Thank you so much for joining us for our February Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop! Sale-a-Bration is in full swing and it's one of the BEST specials that Stampin' Up! provides every year! Each of the stops along our hop will give you a bundle of items that you can purchase that will total around $50 and give you a FREE Sale-a-Bration item!!

You won't want to miss these exclusive Sale-a-Bration items:

As you hop along, please be sure to comment and show some love on every blog! We are always excited to hear from our followers! You should have just left stop number 16 on the Stylin’ Stampin’ Squad blog hop – Pam of Stampin' in the Sun. If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn’t work or you get off track, you will find the full blog hop lineup below.

I created my own little “bundle” of goodies to share with you that you could purchase for just a little over $50 and then get a FREE Sale-A-Bration item!! There are many Sale-A-Bration items to choose from (see above)

I chose the clear mount Chalk Talk stamp set and coordinating Chalk Talk Framelits Dies to be used with the Big Shot die-cutting machine. (Did you know you can buy the stamp set and Framelits Dies as a bundle to save 15%?) I wanted to pair this stamp set and Framelits Dies with a fun pack of DSP and I just love the colors and patterns in the I Am Me Designer Series Paper, so that was my choice! With these three items, it didn’t quite hit $50 to get a free item, so you can add a pack of assorted coordinating cardstock or a pack of the Subtles Candy Dots, which is what I show in my bundle.

My FREE Sale-A-Bration item!! You'll notice I tried to incorporate this in all of my cards

It was my mission to create a card or project using each image in the Chalk Talk stamp set. I did, in fact, use all of them, but one of the cards you’ll have to come back tomorrow to see! I’ll be sharing a couple of cards and a project that use hearts…just perfect for Valentine’s Day!

Disclaimer: In a couple of these cards/projects I used some retired Pool Party ruffled ribbon which is no longer available (didn’t realize it before everything was done!) The best replacement for that is our Pool PartySeam Binding Ribbon

All colors used in today’s card and project are: So Saffron, Basic Gray, Real Red, Calypso Coral, & Pool Party

This is a fun pizza box I created that is the perfect size for some candy, jewelry, a gift card, etc. It would be fun to crinkle up some coordinating teeny strips of paper to go inside as “basket filler”. The tutorial to create this box can be found HERE. It is super easy and fun to decorate! HERE is one I created a few years ago.

The band slips off all intact. I created the band from a 1” x 11” piece of cardstock and then used Sticky Strip to adhere together. I wrapped a piece of Pool Party ribbon around and tied with a bow. The fun thing about this stamped framelit is that you can just tuck the “hole” under the bow without having to tie anything on.

http://stampinfunwithdiana.blogspot.com/2014/02/stylin-stampin-inkspiration-blog-hop.htmlI hope you were inspired by my cards and project today! Keep on hopping along to see more fun "bundles" and Sale-A-Bration freebies! Next on the hop is Stampin' Fun with Diana!

Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop - in with the new!

Thank you so much for joining us for our January Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop!  Love is in the air and our talented group of design team members have a whole lotta love goin' on as we are excited to be sharing some NEW Occasions Catalog goodies and some Valentine's Day projects with you this month! As you hop along, please be sure to comment and show some love on every blog!  We are always excited to hear from our followers!

You should have just left stop number 16 on the Stylin’ Stampin’ Squad  blog hop – Tonya at Stampin' with Tonya. If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn’t work or you get off track, you will find the full blog hop lineup below.

Deciding whether or not to create something with my new products or choose a Valentine's theme was an easy decision for me! I was just too excited about playing more with my new Occasions Catalog goodies!! Although I haven't ordered much yet, I am sure having fun playing with what I do have!

My absolute favorite is the Fresh Prints Paper Stack! It is 48 sheets of 4-1/2" x 6-1/2" double-sided paper (you get 4 pieces of 12 designs). The colors are Coastal Cabana, Crumb Cake, and Real Red. It is such a great color combo and there are so many fun prints to choose from. I just knew this was going to be my inspiration for my project for the hop! I also had ordered the Perfect Pennants stamp set and coordinating Banners Framelits as a bundle, so somehow these were also going to be a part of my project...one way or another!

I decided it would be fun to make a set of notecards...but my one stipulation was that they had to be quick and easy! Whisper White Notecards come in a package of 20 (including envelopes). They are a tad smaller than the kind of cards I normally make (notecards measure 3-1/2" x 5"). I decided that I would choose 10 different prints from the Fresh Prints Paper Stack and create 5 different card designs (making 2 of each design). Here are the designs I came up with. The notecards even come pre-scored, so all you have to do is fold and go! I told you...quick and easy, right?!

 I kept the designs super simple and just let the paper do most of the talking! All of the sentiments are found in the Perfect Pennants stamp set with the exception of the "thanks" on the card with the star.

I wanted a place I could put all of these notecards...and possibly give as a gift! I took one of our full wood mount cases and created a cover I could slip in the front. This sentiment comes from the same Perfect Pennants stamp set as shown above and I really think it's the best motto for me this year as I am learning to NOT reach for perfectionism, but to simply enjoy the journey...in life and in my creativity!

Tucked inside are 10 envelopes and 10 notecards ready to use at a moment's notice!

And, just one more reminder...for me AND you!

Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop - quick & easy gifts for the holidays (and a giveaway!)

Thank you so much for joining us for the December Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop!  This month our projects focus on quick and easy gift ideas for the holidays. As we enter the month of December, we find that the Christmas holidays are fast approaching. From decorating our homes to holiday baking, we realize that shopping days are running low. That's why we want to share quick and easy gift ideas that anyone can create in time for that special someone!

As you hop along, you will see that many of our design team members are giving away some great blog candy this month. Leave a comment for each project and you will automatically be entered in to win!  Winners will be announced Monday, December 16th on our individual blogs, so don't forget to leave us those comments! We love to hear from our readers!

You should have just left stop number 8 on the Stylin’ Stampin’ Squad  blog hop – Diana of Stampin' Fun with Diana. If so, you are in the  right spot. If a link doesn’t work or you get off track, you will find  the full blog hop lineup below.

I was so excited awhile back when I found a great deal online for Bath & Body Works hand soaps. For me this is one of those splurges that I love to have in every bathroom and my kitchen...so many yummy scents! I bought a boxful of mostly holiday scents...some for me and some for gifts! Now, I could just tie a bow around it or stick it in a bag, but I wanted to take it just a step further and add a fun little tag to give it the WOW factor. But, seriously ~ it's super easy & quick...I promise.

{MAKE SURE TO READ THROUGH TO THE END OF THE POST FOR A GIVEAWAY!}

When I first saw the Winter Cranberry bottle I instantly knew it was the perfect match for some Cherry Cobbler goodness!

I dressed it up using some Silver Glimmer Paper which matches the sparkle on the trim and the words of the bottle. I used my favorite (surprise!!) Festive Flurry stamp set and coordinating Framelits.

To get the middle "star" shape on the snowflakes, I stamped the smallest snowflake using the Silver Metallic Encore Pad and then embossed it with Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder for a little extra sparkle. I cut out the center with my Paper Snips. If I owned some of the Frosted Finishes Embellishments, that would have been a great replacement for the center!

I stamped Merry Christmas and made banner notches.

I finished it off on the top of the bottle with some Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding and Silver 1/8" Ribbon. I just love the look of the big bow.

Tag measurements & quick "how to":

And, because we're talking easy holiday gifts! I whipped up a few easy-peasy Rolo candy wrappers. These were a hit at the craft bazaars I used to do a few years back. A couple of years ago, I created a quick little tutorial. I wanted to try them again using current product ~ Season of Style DSP Paper Stack and Tags 4 You stamp set with Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding, Crumb Cake Seam Binding, & Gumball Green Stitched Satin Ribbon. I plan to give these to some of the staff at my kids' school.

OK, and now for the some blog candy before you leave!!
LEAVE A COMMENT ON THIS POST BY SUNDAY NIGHT AT MIDNIGHT!
{winner will be announced on Monday's post!}

You'll have a chance to win all you see in the picture:
Tag A Bag Accessory Kit (current product)
4 handmade Christmas greeting cards (by me!)
Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder
Holiday Frame Embossing Folder
Spool of Old Olive ribbon

Stylin' Stampin Squad Blog Hop - Christmas favorites

Thank you so much for joining us for the November Stylin’ Stampin’ Squad Blog Hop! This month our projects focus on Christmas. While we have yet to give thanks this month, some of us are already thinking about sending Christmas cards, what kind of packaging to present gifts in and how we want to deck our halls. On this month’s blog hop we are showcasing many of the Stampin’ Up! products that are available in the Holiday Catalog. You will see everything from cards to gift tags to 3-D décor and gift packaging. We hope you enjoy seeing how we use the products to create our projects and feel inspired to come up with some great projects of your own. Remember you can order all of the products showcased from your Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator.

You should have just left stop number 9 on the Stylin’ Stampin’ Squad blog hop – Diana of Stampin' Fun with Diana. If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn’t work or you get off track, you will find the full blog hop lineup below.

One of my Christmas favorites right now is the Color Me Christmas stamp set and paired with the Season of Style DSP Stack you can make quick work of some fun cards!

I used the reindeer from the Color Me Christmas set and colored him using blender pens and the ink from the lid of the ink pads (Crumb Cake, Gumball Green, & Cherry Cobbler). I also added some Dazzling Diamonds with 2-way glue on the scarf and shirt, but it doesn't show up as sparkly in the picture as it does in real life! He needed a little red nose, so I popped on a Cherry Cobbler candy dot. The circles come from the Circle Framelits!

Open it up to reveal the message using another favorite ~ Endless Wishes. Wouldn't this be cute if you opened it up to a Christmas picture inside?

And, of course add a fun box of kisses decorated to match for a perfect gift! It's so easy with the Decorative Window Boxes (a definite fave of mine!). And, I love that 1" Cherry Cobbler Grosgrain Ribbon! It makes such beautiful bows for Christmastime! I was going to add a tag, but since I plan on giving the box with the card, I decided to keep it simple by adding some of the Season of Style DSP to match and left it with that.
