New Catalog Favorite ~ Jar of Love

I finally received my box of new catalog goodies yesterday...and just in time as my card night is TONIGHT, so I have been busy getting my four cards ready for everyone to create. My challenge was to create all four cards using the new stamp sets and goodies I ordered. So fun, but lots of work on a time crunch!

My NEW favorite that I am looking forward to playing with even more is the set called Jar of Love. This set comes with SO MANY stamps! And, even better?! It comes with coordinating Framelits called Everyday Jars.

{Bundle it together and save 10%!}

To help me with my card making mojo, I used this week's Freshly Made Sketches #240.

 Head on over to the Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration blog where we are sharing our new catalog favorites today and see what some of the other designers have chosen!

Quick & Easy with Washi Tape!

I needed one more card for my monthly card making night last night and since my first three cards had a few more extra steps, I knew that my fourth card needed to be a little more simple. So as I went into planning mode for this card I knew it needed to be QUICK & EASY

{We are sharing quick and easy cards over at the Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration, so head on over to see some more designs you can put together in a snap!}

To help with my design, I headed over to Freshly Made Sketches for their sketch of the week (FMS174). Once I saw it, I KNEW it was going to help me put together my quick and easy card!

When I saw that diagonal stripe, I instantly thought of WASHI TAPE! Washi tape is the perfect embellishment you can use to create a quick card...and it goes such a long way! The best part is that you can fold the ends of the washi tape over the edges of the card. Voila! Hidden and no need for scissors to trim off the ends!

Happy Birthday Sketch

It's the second Monday of the month which means that the Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration has another fun sketch to play with! This sketch below has so many possibilities!!

I decided to go with a different shape than a circle and let a star be the focus. I've added some Sale-A-Bration goodies to my card...the Best Year Ever DSP and Calypso Coral ribbon. I also used a new stamp set from the Occasions Catalog called Crazy About You along with the new Hello You Thinlits dies (purchase as a bundle and save 15%!) This card would make a nice masculine card...I'm sure he wouldn't mind a little bit of bling. ;)

SSINK Blog Hop - 2015 Occasions Catalog

It's a new year and with it comes a brand new Stampin' Up! catalog we get to share with you! Some of the Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration gals are blog hopping today and showcasing some of the many amazing products from the 2015 Occasions Catalog.

As you hop along, please be sure to comment and show some love on every blog! We are always excited to hear from our followers! You should have just left stop number 7 on the Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration Blog Hop - Kim Ryden at Stamping with Kim. If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn't work or you get off track, you will find the full blog hop lineup below.

The first card I have to share with you today was inspired by the sketch at Can You Case It? (CYC #51). I needed a clean and simple design for my card making night on Tuesday...something that could be reproduced easily with a big group of stampers. This sketch was the perfect fit for that!

http://canyoucaseit.com/?p=1154

I used the brand new stamp set called Painted Petals and paired it up with the Painted Blooms DSP.

Using the Rich Razzleberry and Blackberry Bliss Stampin' Write Markers, the stamped flowers match beautifully with the flowers in the paper. And that sentiment?! I LOVE the cursive style of the word "amazingly". So fun!

My next card was inspired by this sketch at Retro Sketches.

I wanted to play with the new bundle I purchased from the 2015 Occasions Catalog. You can purchase these two products separately, but when purchased together you can save 15%! The Hello You Thinlits Dies are so fun and the Crazy About You stamp set (available in your choice of wood, clear, or photopolymer) when paired together with the dies can create so many sentiments.

I used the above sketch to create this "hello sunshine" card. The bokeh background is actually part of Sale-A-Bration called Best Year Ever DSP I earned with my $50 purchase. The Coastal Cabana button is also a Sale-A-Bration freebie and comes with two other colors, as well as the coordinating trio of ribbon. So many great choices for Sale-A-Bration!

make a wish ~ ssinkcs14

I think I'm back into the swing of things!! I just spent the last 3 days at our annual Stampin' Up! team beach retreat. What a wonderful weekend away to relax...stamping, eating, laughing, and enjoying time with my team of friends! I got caught up on so much craftiness with Stampin' Up! and I am excited for the many things I have to share in the next few weeks, so be sure to visit again!

Let's start off the week with a fun sketch from the Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration blog. This sketch is definitely open to interpretation (click HERE for other SSINK designer inspiration). We would love for you to play along with us and you can link up your card creation through next Sunday (October 19th) at noon.

I knew I needed a card for my upcoming card night this Wednesday, so I tried to create something that would be easily reproducible for my guests. This card could even be masculine, which is an added bonus since I tend to run really low on those kinds of cards!

fabulous work of art

Tomorrow night is card making night at my mother-in-law's and so I am preparing some cards for her and her friends to create! I found this sketch on Freshly Made Sketches and I knew it would be the perfect one to get my creative juices flowing for a quick and easy card!

I reached for my stamp set Work of Art and one of my favorite DSP stacks (Moonlight) and got right to work! I was able to bust out this card in a matter of 10 minutes! I wish it was that "easy" all the time. You don't really want to know how long it takes me to design a card on most days. Can you say perfectionist? ;)

I used the larger butterfly punch to punch out a piece of vellum and then placed a smaller butterfly (from Kinda Eclectic) on the top, finishing it with a couple of rhinestones. The butterfly is popped up on Dimensionals.

Stamp Sets
Work of Art, Kinda Eclectic
Ink
Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey

I have been taking a little bit of a break from blogging (have you noticed?) as this mama has been needed a lot more at home lately. I've still been busy creating and being inspired...just haven't been able to SHARE much! I did participate in World Card Making Day with some of my team last Saturday, so I will share pictures soon of our fun day! I also created a fun swap card for the Control Freaks Holiday Swap, so that's coming, too!! Hope you all have a blessed day!

I have a fun, but simple card to share with you today!! The gals at SSINK are showcasing the stamp set Starburst Sayings on our blog (be sure to head on over to see more cards using this set!) Starburst Sayings coordinates perfectly with the Starburst Framelit Dies. The great thing about these two products is that you can purchase them together as a bundle...saving yourself 15%! (Clear Mount Bundle - $38.95 / Wood Mount Bundle - $44.95).

I just love the "oh, HAPPY DAY" sentiment. It's perfect for birthdays or any day that deserves celebrating!

ssink - kinda eclectic

Today at SSINK we are highlighting the many ways to use the Kinda Eclectic stamp set. This is one of the sets we received at the 2014 Inspire. Create. Share. Convention in Salt Lake City, which we then used to create a couple of make n takes while there. This set definitely will have to keep growing on me as I continue to use it, but I am up for the challenge!

To get my creative juices flowing for this card, I used Retro Sketches #126 along with the Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge #191.

ssink - quick & easy

Today at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration some of the designers are sharing Quick & Easy cards! These are always a favorite of our readers because cards don't always need a lot of extra fuss and crafters need to see that once in awhile! Don't get me wrong...I love a card decked out bottom to top with all the glitz and dimension, but there are also times when you just need something simple and quick.

I have a friend who is well deserving of this card because of a major accomplishment on her bucket list and I needed her to know how awesome I thought she was in accomplishing it! The best part about a "quick & easy" card is that you can create it, write on the inside, and pop it in the mail all in less than an hour!

http://freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com/2014/06/freshly-made-sketches-142-sketch-by.htmlOf course having a little inspiration is always a good thing, so I turned to Freshly Made Sketches to help get me moving in the right direction!

It's Friday Favorites at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration and my favorite right now is the colorful Designer Series Paper in the All Abloom DSP Stack. I love these little stacks of paper as they come with so many varieties of paper ~ 24 sheets (4 each of 6 double-sided designs) in 4-/12 x 6-1/2. So many fun options!!

To help with the layout, I used The Paper Players Sketch #201.

SSINK color challenge - June

I attended a wedding on Saturday and needed a card for the fun occasion! I knew there was going to be an upcoming color challenge with the SSINK blog, so I created the card using this fab color combo. It was perfect for a Spring wedding card (plus, one of the colors is Blushing BRIDE...how perfect!)

 Of course I also needed a little sketch inspiration, so I used the Hand Stamped Sentiments Sketch Challenge #186.

And, The Paper Players theme for this week is Wedded Bliss, so how fitting to also link up this card there!

I just had to ink up the retiring Make a Cake one more time to show you how awesome this stamp set is!! A couple of weeks ago I also showcased this set as I had used it one of the cards for my May Card Making Night. The wood mount version is available at a reduced price if you want to get your hands on it! The Stamp-A-Ma-Jig is the perfect tool for perfect placement each time to help make any cake you desire.

{MAKE A CAKE}
$11.95 / #126742 (clear mount)
$10.47 / #132036 (wood mount)

For the flowers I used one of the punches from the Bitty Punch Pack, which is also on the retiring list! You might want to snag this trio of bitty punches before they're gone! You'll have until June 4th to order anything that is still available on the retiring list.
