Foxy Friends

Hello Stamping Friends!!

So...my 3 month (plus?) hiatus was unintentional, but actually really good for me! I spent a wonderful summer with the kids and didn't need to stress about feeling like I have to put something on the blog. Or that I had to create anything. With a regular schedule back in place, I feel motivated to start adding to my blog again. So here I am! :)

Have you seen the adorable stamp set called Foxy Friends? Oh, it's the cutest!! Can you just see all of the sweet animals you can make from this set? What's even better is that this set also comes as a bundle with the coordinating Fox Builder Punch. Save 10% by purchasing both of them together!

Over the past few months I have made some things using this set...

When the new catalog came out, I participated in a card swap with some fellow demonstrators. I actually had a really fun time creating this card, especially using the fun prints from the "A Little Foxy" DSP Stack.

This card is one from my June card making night (the month the new catalog goodies became available!) It is a CASE from Wendy Cranford..with a few of my own additions. You can see her card here. Don't you just love that sweet raccoon? Again...notice the DSP?

This summer I also had the pleasure of creating a baby shower invite for a family member. I thought these turned out so sweet!

And, just this last week I held my monthly card night for October and this was one of the card designs. The two cards below are basically the same thing with just a few differences in ribbon, sentiment, and enamel shapes.

For those of you who have still stuck around, I would love for you to say a little hello! Let me know if you have any specific questions on any of the products you see and I am happy to answer.

Also...don't forget that now through October 31st, Stampin' Up! is offering the Buy 3, Get 1 Free Designer Series Paper special. Visit my online store at heidiboos.stampinup.net (click on SHOP NOW) to take advantage of the sale!

SSINK Baby Shower Blog Hop

Today we're throwing a baby shower! One of our very own Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration design team members just had her sweet baby boy on April 10th, which just happens to be perfect timing for our SURPRISE SHOWER for this month's blog hop! Congratulations Kim Ryden on the birth of your sweet baby boy Micah Hunter. We are so happy for you!! Enjoy "opening" each of your gifts as you hop along! :)
As you hop along, please be sure to comment and show some love on every blog! We are always excited to hear from our followers! You should have just left stop number 6 on the Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration Blog Hop - Jennifer at Happy 2 Scrap 4 Life. If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn't work or you get off track, you will find the full blog hop lineup below.

My gift for Kim and baby Micah is something that all new mamas want ~ a gift card to Target to buy whatever she needs! :) Kim, enjoy buying some cute new baby boy clothes, diapers (if you must!), or all of those fun new style baby accessories you swoon over! Of course a gift card requires a cute gift card holder.

M for Micah!

After deciding on this layout, I just changed up the colors to match whether it's for a boy or girl!

SS Inkspiration - Framelits Friday!

Woo hoo! It's Framelits Friday over at the Stylin' Stampn' INKspiration blog! Each of the designers who are sharing today picked out one of Stampin' Up's framelits and created something fun to share with our readers.

Again, before I sat down to make my card to share with you, I thought about who was in need of a little snail mail and I remembered there was a sweet little baby and his mama and daddy who needed a congratulations card!! I kept it super simple because, honestly, I wanted the framelits to be the star of the show!!

The framelits I chose to use on my card were the Deco Labels Collection Framelits. This was my first time pulling them out of the package and it was so fun to put something like this together...I knew I wanted to make something that would work as a "frame".

First I cut the polka dotted Marina Mist DSP 5-1/4" x 4" and then centered one of the framelits right into the middle and ran it through the Big Shot. I adhered this right on top of my Real Red card base, so the red would show through the empty space in the middle. I picked up my {yet to be mounted at the time} Zoo Babies stamp set and inked up this little elephant in Smoky Slate. Isn't he just so cute? I then stamped the elephant and sentiment onto a piece of Whisper White and die cut the next size down. Using a Dimensional, I attached it to the inside of the empty space so that the red "framed the elephant".

Love these extra little touches...a tiny little heart on the bum, a pearl for his eye, and I popped up his little ear to give it some dimension as if it was flapping.

And what's one of my most favorite things about this card? It's mailable with no extra postage!! ;)

All this talk about framelits is the perfect timing as the Magnetic Platform is now available again starting yesterday! Be sure to order yours quick (who knows if there will be another ordering freeze...these puppies are a hot item!!) This is an awesome tool to help keep those framelits in place as you're rolling it through the Big Shot!

Big Shot Magnetic Platform
#130658, $39.95

Be sure to stop by Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration for more fun ways to use framelits!

baby elephant

I am so in love with this sweet elephant stamp from the Sale-A-Bration set Patterned Occasions (see images below). The other images are super fun, too, but there's just something about this cute little elephant that I adore! You can earn this set FREE with a $50 catalog product purchase (check out other Sale-A-Bration freebies HERE).

Over the past few days I have created two card designs using this sweet elephant. This first design was for my monthly card club that met this last Monday. I chose to leave off the sentiment that is on the stamp ("thanks a ton") and instead, decided that if I wanted to I would add a greeting to the inside of the card. I think BABY when I see this elephant, so that was my intention for this card, but it would be cute for a little girl's birthday, too.
Card Recipe
Stamp Set: Patterned Occasions
Paper: Whisper White, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Pacific Point, Sunshine & Sprinkles DSP
Ink: Basic Gray, Lucky Limeade
Accessories: Dimensionals, Rhinestone Accent, 1/4" Marina Mist Grosgrain Ribbon
Tools: Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, 1-3/4" Circle Punch, 2-3/8" Scallop Circle Punch, Itty Bitty Flower Punch
My second card design was specifically for a new baby card. I was in need of two baby cards...both for boys! When I saw the sketch over at The Paper Players, I knew it would be perfect for this image!
Card Recipe
Stamp Set: Patterned Occasions, Sweet Essentials (sentiment)
Paper: Whisper White, Midnight Muse, Real Red
Ink: Midnight Muse, Lucky Limeade, Real Red, Crumb Cake w/ Blender Pen
Accessories: Dimensionals, Midnight Muse Double-Stitched Ribbon
Tools: Two-Step Owl Punch (mini heart)
