team beach retreat 2013 (& weekly deals!)

Last weekend was our annual team beach retreat! It was a relaxing weekend of stamping and enjoying spending time with some great friends I have met through Stampin' Up! It was a wet and windy weekend and we stayed indoors for most of it (we were all busy bees!), but some of us did take a quick walk down to the beach during a break from the rain to sneak a peek at the ocean! It was beautiful...but cold!



We stayed in this cute little townhome called "SeaVue". It was well equipped with 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms...enough room for the six of us!

The living room was a bit tight with the amount of stuff we brought, but we just rearranged the furniture, set up our tables, and got all cozy for a weekend of crafting...and lots of snacking and eating some delicious meals, too! We've got some great cooks in this group!

One of the highlights of the weekend for me (besides sleeping in!) is that each of us plan a swap card for everyone to make. We all bring our own projects to work on, but every now and then we would take a break from our own work and create a make n take! Check out the cards from last year's beach retreat HERE.

I still have my scrap page to finish, so this was the sample! That's my cute daughter from a couple of years ago on the far left. Kim is my sister and new to the Stampin' Up! family, so it was fun to have her join us on this trip! :)

This was the card I brought for the make n take...which I also shared for last month's blog hop.

It is always such a joy to have some time to create and get away for a little bit to rest and refresh! I loved coming home to my family, but loved my time away, too! I'll be ready for another getaway soon...we hope to plan one again in the Spring!
