big shot club (perfectly preserved) - September 2012

This next card I have to show you was part two of last month's Big Shot Club (click here to see part one...Halloween treats!) I wanted to use the Perfectly Preserved stamp set and coordinating Cannery Framelits to show off how versatile the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine is. I am really loving all of the great new Framelits Stampin' Up! has been offering...and don't you just love this bundle?! Stampin' Up! has also done something new in the Holiday Mini Catalog by offering the opportunity to purchase the stamp set and coordinating Framelits to save 15%!

Clear Mount Bundle (save 15%!) - $38.95
Wood Mount Bundle (save 15%!) - $44.95
I have seen so many of these fun cards floating around where the jar is stamped onto a window sheet with Black Stazon to make it look like an actual jar, so I had to try my hand at making my own.
  • I stamped the jar from the Perfectly Preserved stamp set onto a Window Sheet.
  • Using the jar from the Cannery Framelits I die cut the jar image from the front side of the base card.
  • Before adding anything else, I laid the hearts embossing folder across the front and ran it through the Big Shot.
  • I adhered the stamped Window Sheet onto the back side of the card base using SNAIL adhesive.  Then I covered it up with patterned paper (sorry, forgot to take a picture of the back side of the card).
  • The "lid" of the jar is die cut out of Orchard Harvest DSP using the Cannery Framelits then wrapped with some Island Indigo Baker's Twine and popped up with a Dimensional.

When you lift up the card the cherry is stamped on the inside.
