Friday night I had the pleasure of holding a 3 for $5 card making workshop at a friend's house. I really enjoy doing these kinds of events for people because not only does it give me the chance to do what I love, but to be able to spread that to others! There were 10 ladies who attended and most of them had never been to a Stampin' Up! workshop before, so that was fun for me to introduce this "wonderful world" to them!
Each time I hold a workshop, I am sure to give the hostess a special little gift for opening up their home to me to come in to share all of the fun and exciting products that Stampin' Up! has to offer. Every workshop the gift is something different. This time I couldn't wait to give something that was for the holidays!
On the left is a
silver skinny tin (which can now be found in the clearance rack for only $.99!). The tin is Mod Podged with
Merry Moments Designer Series Paper and decorated with
Real Red Polka Dotted 3/4" Ribbon. I also made a matching card to go with it using the
Snow Swirled stamp set and Merry Moments DSP.
Inside I filled it with gift tags I made using the large tag punch and the snowflakes from the
Christmas Punch Hostess Set. These were super easy to make, but make such a great gift to give!
I also thought it might be fun to bring a little treat for each of the guests. So, I used the
Pumpkin Patch stamp set to make these little party favors...since Halloween is technically the next holiday.
Card #1: I got this idea from my upline, Andrea, and just knew that I had to use it for a workshop! Of course, I had to borrow the
Great Friend stamp set to do it. I'm so thankful that Andrea is so willing to share!!
Card #2: I found this card on
Splitcoast Stampers, but of course when I went to link it up...now I can't find it that particular card. I pretty much copied it exactly because I loved it so much!! We ended up using the 1/4" red grosgrain ribbon at the workshop instead of the 5/8" ribbon you see in the picture. This card is made using the
Snow Swirled stamp set (again, borrowed from Andrea!)
Card #3: This card, I am happy to say, I designed all by myself! This card is made using the Merry Moments DSP and the
Patterned Pines Hostess Set. The trees have Dazzling Diamonds glitter and the "very merry" is embossed with white.
It was a really fun evening and I think everyone enjoyed themselves! I overheard many of the ladies saying that they really liked the cards...that's always good to hear! I have another event coming up on Monday, so I'll be back to share some more!
**If you have any questions about the cards shown (colors used, etc.) , please feel free to leave a comment!
