Frightful Sight...my own creation on CPC (and a GIVEAWAY!)

Happy Thursday Stampers!!

Today is the day I get to share MY VERY OWN Craft Project Central project for September! I just love the Frightful Sight Designer Series Paper, so I knew I wanted to use this somehow and as soon as I came up with a plan in mind and decided on my "theme" (spiders!) my creativity hit full force and I came up with this trio of Frightful Sight goodies!

For a fun gift to make someone say "eeek!" on Halloween, these easy to make projects are perfect for that friend who loves Halloween fun...and all things creepy crawly! Included in this tutorial are directions for the candy pouch, mini box (that opens up with a fun surprise inside) and a spider card with some added "sparkle". If you change up the images and add some different paper, these projects are easy to make for other holidays, too!

How about a sneak peek of what's inside the box...just for my readers!

Beautiful Season Cards & Tags Box Set...on CPC!

I have another Craft Project Central to share with you today! Get a jump start early on your Christmas gifts with this Beautiful Season Cards & Tags Box Set designed and created by Kris at Stampin' with Kris. This project is designed around the Beautiful Season stamp set. The box holds four cards, four envelopes, four "Top Note" tags, four 2" folded tags, and four "Curly Label" tags. This would also make a great craft fair item. You could even change up the stamp set for a whole different look if you wanted to!

Season of Friendship home decor

A couple of weeks ago I offered a specialty class using the Season of Friendship stamp set...

The class consisted of creating 4 seasonal "inserts" to go inside a matted frame, which you can then use for a home decor piece. My upline Andrea has done this before with her stamping friends and back in the Spring I had snagged up some 10x10 frames at a great price for me to hold the same class. Well...only about 6 months later did I finally get it together! I knew the Fall would be the perfect time to do it because not only would it make a great decor item to start off the Fall home decor, but these would also make great gifts for Christmas (or a birthday).

I pretty much copied Andrea's design for each of the "inserts" (thanks, Andrea!), but I did add a couple of extra little touches of my own.

{FALL}

{WINTER}

{SPRING}

{SUMMER}

{collage of all four seasons...click on picture to see up close}

These were such a big hit that I will be making a handful to sell at my upcoming Christmas bazaar. Last week frames at Michaels were 50% off, so I went back for more...only five were there! Time to be on the lookout for more frames for a great price!

Pick Your Poison Halloween Ensemble...on CPC!

I have another fun project to share with you today from Craft Project Central. These great Halloween projects are designed by Kris at Paper Fairy and would make a "spook-tacular" gift for someone in your life who loves all things Halloween! Fill the haunted house treat box with sweets and after you're finished using the silver spider web as a luminary, it doubles as a fancy favor box for even more sweet treats! The icing on the cake? The fun and spooky charm bracelet!

happy day to you...taste the rainbow!

I started another year of MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) and signed on to be a discussion group leader again. One of my favorite things about being a group leader (among many!) is the chance to make little gifts for each of the members in my group for our monthly meetings. I love having a reason to be creative and blessing someone's day in the process!

Happy day to you, friends!!

You can do it, too...

I punched out the Daffodil Delight DSP using the Decorative Label Punch. The "happy day to you" sentiment is found in the Friendly Phrases stamp set. I stamped it in Real Red ink and punched it out using the Large Oval punch and then popped it up with a Dimensional. The heart is from the Two-Step Owl punch and I also popped it up with a Dimensional. I tied it onto the neck of the jar using Real Red, Daffodil Delight, and Pumpkin Pie 1/8" grosgrain ribbon.

**The jars I found at Michaels Crafts. They are Making Memories brand and their "real" purpose is for storing craft supplies. However, they've been sitting around my house for a year, so I finally put them to good use!

Pin Cushion & Card Gift Set...on CPC!

Yep, you get TWO Craft Project Central projects today!! *wink*

This next project is so beautiful and elegant! It is designed by Monika at M.A.D. Stamper. There's no sewing machine needed for this project (that's a good thing because I can't sew!!) The pin cushion is actually made out of recycled tin can. Match this project with the coordinating card shown and it would make the perfect gift for the sewing friend or family member in your life (like my mom!). Leave the pin cushion loose on the top and it would make a great container to hold buttons or even more pins!

Do you want to see what this luminaria looks like all lit up when it's dark? Well, you'll have to go visit Laurie to find out! {FYI: it's beautiful!} And these candy containers would make great gifts for classmates or a fun treat for a teacher, neighbor, co-worker, or friend!

elmo birthday greeting

Last week the kids and I went to a fun (and adorably decorated) Elmo birthday party for my friend's 2-year old little girl. Everything was so stinkin' cute!! I wish I would have taken pictures myself to share all of her hard work. Cuteness all around!

To go with the theme, I made this card for Miss Molly Scout, the birthday girl.

What 2-year old doesn't love Elmo?!

projects one and two...on CPC!

I had a great last week of summer vacation with the kids, but not much got done in my stamp room or in my house for that matter (surprise, surprise). We had to enjoy one last week of fun with friends, of course! Plus it has finally been summer weather, so being outside in the sun to soak up those last few rays before the rain comes has been a must!

Tomorrow my sweet little girl starts her first day of Kindergarten! Preparing emotionally for that has also been something that has pre-occupied my attention. However, I am looking forward to being back into a routine and chipping away at my long list of things to do!

Now, onto some stamping fun!!

I'm joining Craft Project Central for another month and will be a guest designer for September! I guess I just can't get enough! *wink*

I'm a little behind in sharing with you the first couple of projects with the craziness of the end of summer but here they are in all their cuteness!

The first project for September was created and designed by veteran Craft Project Central designer Julie at Inkredible Stamping. She took the Milk Carton die for the Big Shot and turned it into a super cute hexagon box. Fill it up with some goodies and pair it with the coordinating card for a sweet little gift on your Thanksgiving table! Can you visualize changing this up for any holiday, birthday gift or shower favor? This would also make a great project for a club or class.

The second project for September was also created by a veteran CPC designer...Kim Score at Paper Punch Addiction. This Pentagon Roll-Up Compartment Box is a unique gift because it rolls open to reveal compartments with windows to see what is in each compartment. Fill it with any sort of candy or small surprises. I can see this as the perfect little Christmas gift for a friend, neighbor or co-worker!
